Dear Parishioners:

Many of you have asked me about the resumption of Masses and have understood my and the diocesans concern for the safety of all parishioners.  As things in our area continue to show a decline in the spreading of the Virus, although still not contained, the diocese has given us permission to have “drive-thru” masses on Sundays.  This simply means that you drive into the parking lot and park your vehicle in one of the marked parking spots.  You will be able to see and hear the priest from the safety of your car.  The Mass will be celebrated in the usual manner with one exception, there will be no distribution of Holy Communion.  Plans are being made to soon offer the Holy Eucharist, when it can be done in a safe, organized manner.  In the meantime, we will offer to God a beautiful prayer referred to as a “Spiritual Communion”.

We will offer two drive-up Masses this Sunday, May 31st, The Solemnity of the Pentecost.  Our First Mass will be at 9am at QMHR, Bridgehampton, followed by a second Mass at 10:30am at St Andrews, Sag Harbor.  Again, when you arrive, please follow the directions of the attendants and remain in your car throughout the Mass.  Should you need to use the restroom, both church restrooms will be open but kindly remain 6ft from anyone you encounter and please wear a mask.

Looking forward to being with you as we gather together again to celebrate the Holy Mass.

Prayerfully yours,

Fr. Peter
