Dear Brothers and Sisters:
In this time of anxiety and uncertainty, I want to assure you that both Fr. Manuel and I pray at our daily private Masses for not only the intentions that were previously requested, but also for all of our parishioners and their families. These are certainly trying times and although we are being asked to distance ourselves physically from one another, we remain joined by our faith and in our love of both God and one another.
As many of you know, our diocese is following the mandates of the state when we suspended all activities, including Masses and devotions. At this writing, these suspensions are in effect until April 14th but most probably will be extended as conditions warrant.
Some of you have been very generous to continue to send your weekly donation envelopes and to donate through Faith Direct. We so appreciate that. I would ask you to consider, if you would like and are able, to kindly mail your Easter donation in the donation envelope that is enclosed. This will go towards maintaining our parish during these difficult times. You might also wish to donate by using a new program called “Text to Give”, enabling you to make a one-time or weekly donation to your parish on your smart phone. If you would like to text your donation from your phone text: 147parishstandrew to 516 271 3338.
We realize that some may be experiencing personal difficulties. We do have limited staff hours. You can leave a message and your call will be returned.
May God bless you for your kindness and please be assured of our prayers for you and your family. Together, we will get through this and once again be able to rejoice and celebrate in the Lord’s house.
Prayerfully yours,
Fr. Peter
